Engineering is among the \u201c500 regional champions\u201d welcomed to the Elys\u00e9e Palace on Tuesday 21st January to mark the launch of the ETI (intermediate-sized companies) mark.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This event, attended by the French President and the ministers involved, involved 500 heads of fast-growing intermediate-sized companies and SMEs.<\/p>\n<p>This amazing afternoon event was structured around first-hand accounts and discussions on three topics: Producing in France, Making a commitment in France and Working in France.<\/p>\n<p>At the event, the French President welcomed 500 intermediate-sized companies to the \u00c9lys\u00e9e Palace for the first time and made a speech promoting the 500 \u201cregional champions\u201d who were there.<\/p>\n<p>The Entreprises de Taille Interm\u00e9diaire (ETI &#8211; intermediate-sized companies) category was created by the 2008 economic modernisation law and is now ten years old.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Since 2008, \u201cthe ETI mark\u201d has gradually become an established part of the economic public debate. It has helped to:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Highlight the influence of intermediate-sized companies on the economy and the contribution they make to regional employment and investment;<\/li>\n<li>Underline France\u2019s lack of intermediate-sized companies compared to our main European neighbours and the fact that it is the biggest anomaly in our economic fabric. This is now a unanimously acknowledged fact;<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to increasing the number of intermediate-sized companies and the ambition of a French-style \u201cMittelstand\u201d, a new prospect
